A tiger mother lost her cubs to premature birth

It is not uncommon for animals, especially mammals, to experience depression and grief after losing their offspring. This may manifest in various ways, such as loss of appetite, lethargy, and decreased interest in socializing or interacting with other animals.

In this particular case, it seems that the zookeepers took a creative approach to help the tiger overcome her depression by providing her with surrogate babies in the form of piglets wrapped in tiger cloth. This is known as cross-fostering, and it has been used successfully with various animal species to provide motherly care and attention to orphaned or abandoned babies.

It’s heartwarming to hear that the tiger responded positively to the piglets and treated them like her own babies. This demonstrates the strong maternal instincts of animals and their ability to form nurturing relationships even with individuals from different species.
